[There is a giant Rose walking down the street. Streets, sometimes. She seems to be pretty calm considering she's suddenly bigger than she could ever be, but this is Rose we are talking about. At least her clothes grew with her. God bless long concealing 50's skirts and stupidly long dark socks too.

Perhaps you see her pass? Perhaps she stood on your car. Or maybe she's about to squish you to death? Either way you should let her know. Out of all the weirdness going on she doesn't really mind this bit that she has to live through. She's almost smiling without trying to hiding it, even, but that's mostly because only the rest of the giant population would be able to tell, and those are easy to spot.]

For some reason the banter that came with musing about it made things easier to assume. You could say it helped to keep our current debacle in perspective.

Does it matter now? [what is being evasive.] Now we settle for a familiar camaraderie as so called chums, and therefore such matters don't hold any value now. Unless you are Dave, but I am glad that is far from the case.

[It's only that poking fun of Dave and playing with their odd relationship is one of the few ways she can honestly have fun.]

Maybe it would prove to be profitable to carry the stomping over to my house, as it's devoid of anybody sans me. I could use the time off without worries for all that matters.

I would hope that a sudden declaration of friendship would not mean we could not banter anymore. That would be depressing. As would be becoming Dave - not to insult him, but I think I'm much more well suited to be Kanaya.

If you would like to destroy your own human hive I certainly can't stop you.

Yes, you are right. On both accounts, to be precise. We just have to find another topic to banter about. It would be a pity to lose such an excellent conversation partner while trapped in here.

Then again, that raises the interrogation of where would I spend the night as well. It seems no matter what happens I can't get all to work appropriately.

I would offer my own hive, but that's hardly suitable given the nature of my human adult male lusus, a mutual acquaintance of ours.

Hence why I offered my current predisposition to flatten bothersome ones, with the added benefit of giving you a suitable excuse to come to my own residence. I have come to think that drones, dull and annoying as they are, are still better than Scratch.

Unfortunately, for all that he unnerves me, the other residents of my hive have done nothing to warrant becoming collateral damage, particularly when anything we are capable of doing to him will be undone in a day. Consequently my veto stands.

I therefore declare you a party pooper of the first order. Do you trolls have a designated name for the one supposed to keep a person from committing unneeded acts, be them of violence or otherwise? Or is it only something you take pleasure to do?

Perhaps, if you think that would be acceptable. I have spent most of my life in a secluded location on my own planet, therefore I lack some vital experience in terms of bonding with those of my age and gender.

I would hope that I would not be the only one of us possessing both basic troll decency as well as simple common sense, but there are times I wonder.

Hm. This may be yet another thing we have in common, albeit for wholly different reasons.

And wonder you shall, because it seems like an unlikely match among your kind. Although I can tell they are both present in others, one usually takes over the other. Or Karkat is simply too angry to think clearly, which is regrettable.

Not the first and certainly not the last of the perplexing similarities we all share, as it would seem.
